Just when you thought it was safe to come back to Hashem’s House, it is. And I am back and I am blogging once again. Actually I am here in Austin at New Horizons, a computer training facility, with my web design team. At 5 pm we will hand in the revised and great improved www.hashemshouse.org website as part of the AIR Austin competition through Knowbility.Org. We are hopeful that the third time is the charm. We’ve been at this for four years. The first year we were hacked, to death. The second year we never went live. Last year was the year of my second truck accident (I am fine, sporting a new shoulder and as feisty as ever). Now is the time. Now I am healthy and ready to come back out of forced retirement, yet again. And there is so much to blog about.
I continue to work with my co-author as we edit the first draft of our book about life coaching. I continue to work with Dr. Vivien Dorsett (Texas A&M, Prairie View) on matters of concern to aged-out foster-care alumni. And my latest project revolves around an association with Clare Fleming of Ventana Del Soul, as we work to put together a huge grant to build housing and training for folks coming out of prison. Someone at a very high level in our government has realized that spirituality must be part of the equation. I am writing that part of the equation. I am bringing spirituality, nor religion, to the table.
Hashem’s House will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner this week and later, the following week, Rebba Raine, the Maggida of Austin, will be presenting a Hanukah story at the Central Texas Storyteller’s Guild. By the way, this new improved website has recorded stories that are new and original, told by me, for your listening enjoyment and enlightenment. Hopefully, in time, the website will also post podcasts of the weekly Dvar, the weekly Torah portion.
We will be lighting multiple Hanukah menorahs on December 8th and enjoying Rebbe Raine’s homemade potato latkes and homemade applesauce.
And the miracles keep happening. And with the grace of Hashem, I am here to enjoy them, recognize them and blog about them. The truck didn’t kill me. It did sideline me for a bit. I have been out of work/ministry since Valentine’s Day, 2011. But, I AM BACK. And I am strong. So stay tuned for more blogs, more miracles and more uplifting information. Its all coming. Baruch Hashem. Blessed be Hashem.
With many blessings and very great love for all of us,
Rebba Raine
