Nuptials both Jewish and Interfaith
We work with the couple and their families to make this day a joyful experience for all involved. Rabbi Raine meets with the couple in person, or on the phone, and interviews them to determine, with the couple, what their wedding ceremony will look like. She helps the couple write vows, plan the ceremony, incorporate family stories and rituals into the ceremony and gives voice to all the entities of that day. The final ceremony is always delivered with great joy, gratitude and celebration!
Commitment Ceremonies for folks for whom marriage is not an option — yet:
Rabbi Raine was the only rabbi to perform marriages in New Paltz, New York, during the brief time when same sex marriages were legal. Her doctoral dissertation, completed at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey in 1998, shows her sensitivity to this population and their inherent challenges and triumphs.
Life Cycle Events:
Baby naming, Brits, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and confirmations and dedications
Ceremonies and Rituals to honor and remember people, events and places
Rituals of all natures:
Rabbi Raine will work with you individually or in groups to provide a ritual to mark special occasions and events that happen in the normal course of life. She is a writer by education and vocation and her scripted services and rituals are quite moving and meaningful.
Spiritual counseling for all people of all faiths.
